King Ranch Saddle Shop Opens at The Star

It’s hard to get more Texan than the 825,000-acre King Ranch down in Kingsville. And while it might be hard to visit the working South Texas ranch, the King Ranch Saddle Shop opened a new outpost at The Star in Frisco on June 3. Though called a saddle shop, the brand also carries western-inspired men and womenswear; outdoor accessories, like gun cases, camo apparel, and knifes; luggage; furniture; and more. The Frisco store is the sixth King Ranch location across the state and second in North Texas—the other is based in Fort Worth’s Mule Alley.

Dallas Influencers Are Making Moves

Local jewelry designer and TikToker Carla Rockmore, known for her stunning two-story closet and whimsy-filled videos, recently released her first capsule clothing collection. Ranging $79–$119, the line features two chic, yet casual button-down shirts and a slouchy, yet elevated shirt dress.

Dallasite Mindy McKnight took YouTube by storm 14 years ago when she started her @CuteGirlsHairstyles channel. Since then, her oft-featured children have garnered internet fame for themselves and McKnight’s amassed more than 5.6 million followers and launched a popular haircare line, called Hairitage, with Walmart. This spring, Hairitage released a 14-piece bath and body collection, including lotions, creams, body washes, bath bombs, and more.

Fashion designers and influencers Grayson and Buddy DiFonzo founded their ultra-feminine and beach-inspired clothing label BuddyLove way back in 2010. The company opened a flagship storefront in Fredericksburg two years ago, and opened a more local storefront at 4442 Lovers Ln. last month.

Highland Park Village Is Getting Four New Shops

After a successful year-long pop-up at Market, Los Angeles-based designer Johnathan Simkhai is opening his third store and first permanent Texas brick-and-mortar in Highland Park Village this summer. Following in the footsteps of other Market pop-ups to find permanent locations in the shopping center, the cool and casual womenswear line will be sandwiched between Panerai and Trina Turk. Luxury Italian menswear brand Brioni will also open in Highland Park Village this summer. This fall will also see openings from French fashion house Balmain and Spanish leather goods and fashion company Loewe.
