Sure, dad loves a thoughtful, locally-sourced gift. Almost as much as he loves a good brunch. But some dads (or father figures of any kind) might simply prefer doing something with you (awww overload), so we rounded up a few activities he’ll never forget.

Pilates for Pops + Maker’s Mark Tasting

Saturday at Session Lakewood | 1pm

It might be a little intimidating for some men to enter the predominately female world of Pilates (honestly, why is that?). Bring them with you and coax them further with an après-reformer Maker’s Mark tasting.

Armadillo Ale Works Tasting

At the Dallas Arboretum | Sunday, Noon to 3pm
by Josh Blaylock.

Stop and smell the roses (and the tulips, and the thousands of flowers you’ll find on the Arboretum’s 66 acres) this Sunday. Then stop and taste the beer.

Father’s Day Storytime

At The Wild Detectives | Sunday, 11 to 11:45am
via Wild Detectives

Start off your day with a Father’s Day edition of the Bishop Arts book store’s “Kids on the Cliff” series. The literary lineup features a myriad of dads, with the same special focus on great illustrations and high-quality writing. Plus, there’s a bar at this book store.

Father’s Day Puppy and Goat Yoga

At Hari Mari | Sunday, 10 to 11am

In a post-goat yoga world, we’ve apparently leveled up to Puppy and Baby Goat Yoga, which sounds just cute and chaotic enough to work.

Vintage Pop-Up

At Beatnik | Sunday, Noon to 4pm

Bands, brands, and dads unite at the Oak Cliff shop this Sunday, where the very cool A. Bott Willis is visiting from Nashville to make even cooler custom hats.
