If you walk into interior designer Tiffany Woodson’s family home during the holidays, you’ll see plenty of red and green—but not just for the reason you’d think. “My mom is Italian, and that’s huge for me, especially at Christmas,” Tiffany says. She shares her home with husband Darren Woodson, former Dallas Cowboy, and their son, 6-year-old Judea. But it’s not just her heritage that plays into her style—it’s also where she grew up. “Everything is natural,” she says. “I grew up in northern California, so I love a blend of earthy greens, a real Christmas tree, and eucalyptus with red roses or magnolia branches.”

Tiffany uses that organic approach to elevate her traditional color palette and applies it to her overall style. “We tend to have a lot of layers, with garland and florals,” she adds. And that becomes the backdrop to her memory-making with her family—baking cookies and gingerbread houses, putting out the good china from her mother, decorating the tree while classic tunes play in the background, and opening presents on Christmas morning. “We love those family activities,” she says. “I feel like we celebrate Christmas the way people do in the movies.”
