For Kameron Westcott, every Christmas season starts with a search to find decor that matches the fearless and feminine year-round feel of her University Park home. “My holiday aesthetic is everything bold and over-the-top,” she says. “I want my decor to be as fabulous as I can make it.”
Philip Vanderford of Studio Thomas James, who designed the Westcott home, worked with Westcott to create spaces that would stay true to the Real Housewives of Dallas star’s style, while keeping the home equally enticing for her husband, Court. “We did use a lot of pink, even in rooms that weren’t dedicated to the color, but we incorporated a lot of black, too,” says Vanderford. “It acted as a counterbalance and weighed down the pink touches.”
In keeping with her signature aesthetic, Westcott favors rose-colored seasonal garlands and ornaments (in more-is-more quantities), enlisting Behold Event Floral & Design’s Cavendar Green to bring it all to life. But at the end of the day, what’s most important to the mom of two is that the season be filled with family and traditions—taking an annual Christmas Eve carriage ride through Highland Park Village; donning matching pajamas with extended family; and cooking up their latest and greatest Christmas soups (including a well-loved cheeseburger soup recipe). “I love having my house full of friends and family for the holidays,” she says.
