Taste Addison

More than 25 restaurants in Addison will gather for a two-day showcase for the city’s annual food and drink event. Small bites are all $5 or less, the drink options come from nine different vendors. One of the main attractions is the entertainment, and two headliners are Swae Lee of Rae Sremmurd and 3Oh!3 on Friday and Saturday. Plan ahead and buy tickets and parking online. Tickets start at $15 for one day. Addison Circle.

June 9

Taste of the Cowboys

The North Texas Food Bank’s 19th annual Taste of the Cowboys fundraiser will give attendees the opportunity to dine with Dallas Cowboys alumni and eat dishes from nearly two dozen restaurants. Get a sample from STK Steakhouse, Calabrese Southlake, Loro, and more, all while dining on the field of The Star in Frisco. Proceeds will benefit the Child Programs of the North Texas Food Bank. Tickets start at $100. 9 Cowboys Way, Frisco.

June 11

Get a Tattoo, Get Free Tacos for Life at El Chingon

Taco fans, this one’s for you: El Chingon is giving away free tacos for life for anyone willing to get a tattoo of the restaurant’s logo inked in a “visible location” on their body. Folks who get the ink receive the tattoo free of charge in exchange for a maximum of five tacos a day, 10 tacos a week, for life. Artists from local shop Dark Age Tattoo will be inking those who dare at the restaurant from noon to 4 p.m. Don’t want to commit? No problem. Those who don’t want to get a permanent tattoo can get one of five flash tattoos for $100 each. But only those who get the real ink get the free tacos. 2800 Bledsoe St., Ste. 100., Fort Worth.

June 25

Burger Fight

In the first-ever Burger Fight (yep, from the folks behind Meat Fight!), eight burger joints will come together June 25 to compete for the best burger title. You can read more about it in our post here. D Magazine is a sponsor, and our dining critic Brian Reinhart will be part of the dunking booth, by the way. Try the sliders, vote for your favorite, and then dunk Brian. Sounds like a plan. All ticket proceeds benefit people living with MS. Tickets start at $60. Community Beer Company, 3110 Commonwealth Dr.
